Steve Martin
Chief Operating Officer
Former COO of OGSystems and Senior Vice President at Parsons. Steve worked his way up the corporate ladder holding every position from individual contributor on project to the strategic and operational lead for OGSystems. He left Parsons in 2020 and spent the last several years mentoring small business founders and evaluating companies for Private Equity partners. Prior to his career in business, Steve served as an officer in the Marine Corps. He is a husband and father of two (Hi Adora, Maddie and Miles) and a terrible but committed golfer.

Rich Aves
Chief Development Officer
Rich is a former Executive Vice President and business development lead for Parsons’ Defense & Intelligence (D&I) business unit. Rich developed and led execution of the company’s overall growth strategy for this business unit and delivered over $1.4B in annual sales. Prior to this role, he served in general manager roles as the business P&L leader for two different business sectors within Parsons. Rich came to Parsons as part of the acquisition of OGSystems® where he served in multiple Partner roles, the last of which was as their Chief Growth Officer. Rich began his professional career as a Navy P-3C Naval Flight Officer and has a deep background in national space systems. Rich holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Northwestern University and an M.B.A. from George Mason University.

Bob Dredger
Founder, Chief Technology Officer
Bob Dredger Founder, Chief Technology Officer A driven and dedicated professional with a focus on achieving mission objectives for his customers. Bob retired from the U.S. Army after serving in numerous positions spanning from Long Range Surveillance team member to a Counterintelligence Digital Threat Investigator.

Bob possesses numerous industry leading certifications, including GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst, GIAC Certified Incident Handler, Certified Ethical Hacker, CySA, and Security+ among others. He has also earned several Department of Defense certifications including DC3 Cyber Crime Investigator, Windows Forensic Examiner, and Digital Media Collector. Bob founded Sphinx with the intent of providing both public and private sector customers the most capable and professional security practitioners, while maintaining a threat focus and tailoring solutions to the needs of the customer.

Cody Parrish
Chief Solutions Officer
Cody is an accomplished business development leader with more than a decade of experience leading capture, bid, and proposal efforts for large defense integrators and small business providers in the Defense and Intelligence (D&I) and Homeland Security markets. With experience as both an independent consultant and executive that spans the development of standard and tailored offerings for global IT and mission operations, Cody employs an interdisciplinary, solution-centric approach to developing differentiated solutions that deliver long-term value. 

Cody is ITIL-certified and has an English degree from James Madison University.

Gavin Beem
Corporate Program Manager
Gavin is a US Army Veteran and a Senior Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO). Gavin deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) where he served as a Counterintelligence (CI) Team Leader and Senior CI Special Agent. In addition to his traditional CI background, Gavin has earned qualifications as a Cyber Counterintelligence Agent and Digital Forensic Examiner.  Prior to becoming a CI Special Agent, Gavin started his military career as an All-Source Intelligence Analyst. Outside of his military service, Gavin has supported a variety of Intelligence and Defense Agencies where he served as a Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) Analyst, Cyber CI Threat Analyst, and a Cyber CI Desk Officer, overseeing global CI-missions in cyberspace. Gavin’s multi-discipline background coupled with his experience as a Senior NCO have made him an integral component of the Sphinx team.

Ed Moore
Director, National Security Projects
An accomplished and motivated intelligence professional, Ed holds years of experience in cyber threat intelligence, digital forensics, and cyber counterintelligence. Ed is a U.S. Army veteran with hands-on experience working with numerous government agencies prior to joining the Sphinx team. Ed has earned a Bachelor of Individualized Study from George Mason University, and a Master’s of Applied Intelligence from Georgetown University. Ed holds multiple certifications such as Digital Media Collector, DoD Certified Digital Forensics Examiner, and DoD Certified Cyber Crimes Investigator.

Josh Mayers
Director, Secure Services
Josh is a retired Counterintelligence(CI) Special Agent with over 25 years of experience supporting the US Army, Defense Research Project Agency, National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, FBI National Cyber Investigations Joint Task Force, and the Defense Intelligence Agency. He has supported various intelligence and security mission areas to include CI investigations, operations, cyber threat intelligence, national programs, and counter-espionage.

In addition to his federal service, Josh has years of experience supporting the Energy Sector, specifically, up stream oil and gas operations in the southeastern United States. Josh’s background and experience coupled with his leadership experience make him an essential asset to our private sector clients.

Dante Perez
Director, Cybersecurity Services
Dante is a Army Counterintelligence Agent and Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC)-certified forensic analyst and incident handler with experience across military, federal, and defense sectors. Mr. Perez is also a Defense Cyber Crime Center (DC3)-certified Cyber Crime Investigator with a proven record supporting high-profile investigations, incident response efforts, and digital forensics for national security and cyber defense missions. Mr. Perez also serves as the Sphinx Facility Security Officer (FSO), leading the firm’s compliance with all Federal, IC, and DoD cybersecurity directives and regulations, including the DoD’s Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Framework.

Ryan Haynes
Deputy Director, Security Services
Ryan is a retired Command Sergeant Major with 20+ years of distinguished service in the U.S. Army National Guard specializing in Counterintelligence (CI) investigations and operations, Human Intelligence (HUMINT) collection, Threat and Vulnerability Assessments, and comprehensive analytical support. Throughout his career, Ryan worked closely with elite organizations including the United States Secret Service, Special Operations Forces, and the Defense Intelligence Agency, contributing to national security at the highest levels. A proven leader and strategic thinker, Ryan has led and supported a wide range of critical missions with hands-on experience across tactical, operational, and strategic environments.
